About this sunscreen

A high-protection daily facial fluid from La Roche-Posay's flagship Anthelios line, developed for sensitive skin with the brand's advanced long-UVA filter system at SPF50+. The invisible, fast-absorbing fluid dries to a comfortable, near-weightless finish with no white cast, which is why it is such a popular everyday sunscreen under makeup. A fragrance-free version is made for reactive skin and for eyes that sting easily with other sunscreens.

Does La Roche-Posay Anthelios leave a white cast?

The Invisible Fluid is designed not to. It uses chemical filters in a light, fast-absorbing fluid that dries clear on most skin tones, which is a big reason it is recommended for medium and deep skin where mineral sunscreens can look ashy. Tinted Anthelios options add iron oxides if you want extra blur.

Is La Roche-Posay Anthelios safe to use during pregnancy?

Many people choose a mineral (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide) sunscreen during pregnancy because those filters stay on the skin's surface, and La Roche-Posay makes mineral Anthelios options for that reason. Chemical Anthelios fluids are also widely used. This is not medical advice, so check with your doctor about the specific formula.

Does La Roche-Posay Anthelios sting the eyes?

The sensitive-skin and fragrance-free Anthelios formulas are developed to minimise stinging and are a common pick for people whose eyes water with other sunscreens. As with any facial SPF, keeping it slightly away from the lash line and lower lid reduces the chance of it migrating.

Is La Roche-Posay Anthelios good under makeup?

Yes. The fluid textures absorb quickly to a light, grippy finish that makeup sits on well, which is why it is a frequent daily driver under foundation. Letting it set for a minute before applying makeup helps avoid pilling.
